Last week we issued a Kerned Events style challenge, asking entrants to pick a news article, choose some fonts, and craft a type specimen that represented the new story.

Do you love playing with type? Are you up on your current events? This week we're asking you to create a type sample based on current events. Find an article online about something interesting or offbeat, then choose a typeface and create a type specimen that represents the article.

We've been doing a similar thing over the past few months with Kerned Events, so feel free to check out the gallery for over a hundred examples – like this one about the skinniest building in Greenwich Village and this one about a prank zombie contingency plan.
