Track #1 In Your iTunes Library?

Just little poll for fun… what's the first song you ever added to your iTunes library, and when did you add it? Mine is a live set by The Avalanches, added January 16, 2003. (Command-J to see "Date added" column). Post yours.

Keep in mind that the 'Date Added' information will not be accurate if you have changed computers and re-imported your music into another version of iTunes. The date for my Jud Jud song is accurate, because I kept a backup of the library information on my old OS 9 box, prior to updating to OS X in 2003 and then switching machines again in 2004. The same song on my current system displays an 'added' date of July 26th, 2004. But then, I'm kinda a dork about things like that...

I wonder what the first band listed on most people's iTunes is when you sort it alpha by artist. I wonder what percent has "!!!" or maybe "2 Live Crew"...

Well, Jamie, it is indeed !!! for me.
Pardon My Freedom (Maurice Fulton Inst. Mix) from Groove Armada's Doin' it After Dark, Vol 2.

As for my first track, I can't tell specifically because my iTunes was moved, but I do have track creation dates in Finder of Feb 27, 2003 at 10:42pm on some Groove Armada, Sasha and Darren Emerson, Lamb, Fiona Apple, Chemical Brothers, Bill Hicks, Coldplay, Bjork, Banco de Gaia, Everything but the Girl, and Underworld, among others.

I'm just a little surprised that Bruce Cockburn isn't in the list. I didn't add Bruce Cockburn until April 30, 2003. I'm a bad Canadian.

May I be so bold as to suggest that all you stat hounds get hooked up with Last.fm and the handy dandy plug-in for iTunes (other players are supported as well). You'll soon be hip-deep in personalized charts, playlists, trackers, related artists, and audio neighbors. I've been letting Last.fm monitor my listening habits across three Macs since December 2004 (12,347 tracks and counting). Here's what my stats look like so far.

Would we get as much response from posting our oldest jpg or gif? (that might be dangerous... nevermind.)
