Vote for BBQ

When a big company like Gap encourages you to vote, there must be a t-shirt angle somewhere. Or boxer shorts. Or a sense of social responsibility. Or a combination of those.

Whatever the motivations, they had agency Superfad create nine crisp animated ads targeting different aspects of voting, and featuring the likes of Norman Lear, Bill Maher, Perez Hilton, and actress Kristin Bell.

Hurray! It’s so wonderful when a company who has branded itself as being socially and politically aware, actually follows through on this promise and uses its power for good.

The Don’t Vote video is another great example, of people coming together to promote voting. There's no corporate sponsorship so it’s funnier with more swearing and Sarah Silverman’s bra.

Wish we had a Canadian version that stirred up this much passion.

Thanks for this posting. A close friend and I started a heated debate over this video campaign on our blog after reading about this campaign here on Veer.com. Hopefully The Gap will broadcast this in the states that actually matter!!
