I’ve been a fan of compelling tilt-shift photography since college. There’s nothing like the application of some deliberately suppressed Scheimpflug principle to stretch the visual truth a bit. When everyone and their Weimaraner is posting “simulated” images on Flickr, Ben Thomas seems to have mastered the genuine technique of tilting and shifting urban reality, successfully turning bigness into smallerness over and over again at Cityshrinker.
