So Ya Wanna Go To TypeCon?

Veer is in New York this week hanging out at TypeCon and rubbing serifs with the typorati. Why am I telling you this? Well, we have the ability to spot two (count ’em, two) people for their conference registration. All you have to do is leave a comment describing why you want to attend TypeCon. Oh, and it would help if you lived in New York … because we're not covering any travel expenses. We’ll randomly select two people from the comments submitted and notify them via email. (This means you must leave a valid email address with your comment, by the way.) Good luck and get going. The conference starts Thursday.

Update: Two type-obsessed individuals have been chosen from the comments submitted as of Thursday evening and notified. Thanks to everyone who participated.

Um, because I really can't justify the cost right now, but love type and would love to go? (and I live in NYC)

I can't afford it either, and I also live in new york. I'm a design student and lover of type, but my real reason is because I have a crush on Paula Scher

You Big Sweeties!

We'd love to surprise our mutual friend, Craig Robinson (of FlipFlopFlyin.com fame), who happens to be in NYC on a project for the next 10 days.

He's always been two inches shy of being a legitimate font lover, and Typecon just might push him over the edge.

I am disqualified due to geography, but I would love a TypeCon Alphabet City drink coaster!

I will personally attempt to locate just such a piece of commemorative ephemera for our dear Mr Retzer. If no drink coasters are available at this event, perhaps a handful of custom imprinted cocktail napkins will suffice?

Oh, could it even be possible to find a more exquisite blend of technology geek with handcraft archivist? I must go...

Not to mention "Experimenting with the Cow"...

I would love to go, I live in Philly burbs and I'm a desperate design (and desperate starving artist) student, whose type could use some inspiration. I would LOVE to be able to meet the greats, in hopes that I would be on that pedestal some day.

Experimenting with the cow?

Yes, Experimenting with the Cow. Doesn't that just intrigue? On Saturday's program, 3pm with Alessio Leonardi. Can you possibly go on with life without finding out what that's all about?
