One From the Old School

Check this strikingly typographic dust jacket from a first-edition printing of Sartre's Being and Nothingness published by Philosophical Library (here's a Cliffs Notes-style breakdown). Keeping one around the house makes you look smart and stylish - it's time to re-fetishize the '50's.

Jan, you can start by perusing the vast collection of book jackets documented in the New York Public Library Digital Gallery. It's all organized by date and some of the covers are flipping incredible.
