Diptych I did for a show at the Art Gallery of Calgary a few months back. 2 wood panels, 36"x36" each. Silkscreen, acrylics, inks, colour pencils, photo transfers and... Letraset! … all flooded under a thick coat of glossy resin.
The piece is part of a series about dreams. It is about the places we visit and the people we meet that eventually fade away in our memory, yet everything becomes vivid in our dreams. I call that a dreamstate of consciousness... enjoy.

Hi Terri,
Thanks for the feedback. It is in semi-3D (or 2 1/2D, how I like to call it). The portrait on the left and the tall purple alley pictures (top panel) are made on separate panels that are screwed on. The dark wood piece with the gargoyle (bottom panel) is also on a separate panel. You can see a faint shadow below.
All images are from places I visited, with (left side, top panel): The Cultural Centre Djibaou, Nouméa, New Caledonia; a sculpture at the museum in Montpellier, France; the rose window at the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona, Spain; (Centre) detail of the roof window of the Guggenheim in NY, USA; (right side) an alley in downtown Nelson BC, Canada and another sculpture at the Rodin Museum in Paris, France, And on the bottom panel, a bronze gargoyle from the Cathedral of Strasbourg, France, my home town.

love the geometry and use of different materials. nice work.
Are there actually cuts into the wood or are those painted on? I can't tell just from the picture. It would be really great with a little 3-dimensional layers.
