I'm not a cubist, but I look like I've been painted by one. Photoshoppy filters are pretty dumb, smearing the same uniform effect over entire images. But what if imaging effects could be intelligently applied based on the aesthetic importance of specific elements in a photograph or film? I don't know why the comments are so low in numbers. It's not that we don't experience a significant amount of traffic on this site. People are reading the blog, we know that. Perhaps folks are just satisfied with what we post. Or they're shy...
To answer the second part of your question, we stumble across these links and sites by surfing our bookmark lists, reading voraciously and generally following up on topics that interest us. Part of the joy of working at Veer is the fact that we get paid in part to research and be aware of style, design, culture, and typography. It's part of our job.
