Gee whiz! What a swell set of 1950s television commercial animation stills. It’s a sweet and innocent collection of stylish cartoony huckster archetypes from the pre-ironic era. Part of the weird and wonderful Tick Tock Toys archive.
Its odd how strange some of the advertising materials look to someone who never lived in that period. I guess as I have little understanding of the culture, well as much as you get from the old cars, houses, movies, etc but that doesn't help to give a good impression of what inspired such design. Thanks.
