Operation Nice

Be nice. Proactively nice. That’s the message from Operation Nice — a campaign started by Philadelphia graphic designer Melissa Morris Ivone.

In her own words, “Operation Nice was initiated to remind you that a little NICE goes a long way.”

Too true. And hard to ignore with the juxtaposed militaristic title. It's time to rain kindness down. And the occasional nice bomb.

Operations Nice is a fabulous idea! I posted my first of Melissa's operation nice postcards yesterday, and looking forward to adding more reminders in my neighborhood!

What a great idea. It saddens me that I'm actually surprised when someone smiles at me or shows be some kindness! It's not that hard people! Thanks for the reminder Melissa. :)

I absolutely love this. We should add "let someone into your lane whilst driving"

Mellisa: I'm so glad that your such a positive person.Yeh! I've someone just like me. About 30+ years ago I said to myself and some friends if I can make one person a day smile and happy if only for a moment then that was my purpose in life. Sometimes (now) beinging I can afford to do it I by a bottle of cologne, abasket of goodies, send a card via mail or e-mail just to tell someone I love or care for them. Sometimes when I'm in line at a store I'll buy the persons groceries(without others knowing I'm paying for them) or just do kindness' for others, I love it, it makes me feel so good and I know I've made someones day! It's the little kindness' in life that you do for others that make them want to do too! It's what you scatter, that you gather! or What goes around that comes around. You and I have earned our "WINGS"!(JINGLE! JINGLE!) Thanks for letting me share with you! Have a great LIFE! KAY

Being nice is good business, too. The Power of Nice is a book about how two high-powered ad execs rose to the top by being - gasp - kind, considerate, and not too greedy.
