Type that will floor you

If you've dreamt of treading on leading and trips ’cross scripts, a typographic rug from John Pour Homme might be what you’re looking for.

The price is steep, but the inspiration is free. With fonts, felt, and scissors you could make this your next DIY project. While you’re at it, why not add a touch of the surreal? The little black rug shown above comes in 13 different colors.

If you’re toolin’ to create your own troddable typeface and need to locate a similar font, that one is most definitely Monotype Script Bold. However, it has also been artificially bolded (or had a stroke applied), and then tracked tight. The character shapes are identical. Trust me.

I think this is a great idea
and if you had 2 rugs cutting the letters 2x's
then switching them so they are inset on each other
flipping the holes too .
then iron the seams together on the back with rug tape.
you could have 2 marvelous rugs that are less likely to trip
clutzes like me with much less waste.

practice with MOM and WOW

keep both or sell one to recoup costs?
