Monster ideas, redrawn

When a child sees something lurking in the closet or peeking out from under the bed, there’s never a sketch artist around to take down the eyewitness account. That's where Marvel & DC alum Dave DeVries and his Monster Engine come in.

DeVries takes drawings that have leapt from the imaginations of children and infuses them with a more practiced artistic hand. In his before/after galleries of monsters and superheroes, the transformations are dramatic, inspiring, and even a tad unnerving.

Anyone who has actually encountered a giant evil chomping baseball will want to take a moment to brace themselves before clicking through.

Oh wow, that is just too cool! I love children's artwork and it's neat to see it re-imagined by an adult.
