Ministry Script Tattoo

Veer's recent Ministry Script typeface by Alejandro Paul is a truly inspiring type design. Now it has even inspired a tattoo - replete with OpenType swashes - on a friend of one of Veer's designers. (Mr. Paul feels honoured, by the way.)

And here I thought my Hello Kitty tattoo was cool.. Dammit!

No. I won't tell you where it is.

It's unfortunate that the tattoo artist's equipment didn't support the built-in kerning tables - that renegade 's' would drive me nuts. Maybe it was an compatibility issue with the version of inkware they were using. Those advanced OpenType features can cause no end of layout problems if the data types aren't supported.

Maybe that's the reason I don't have a tattoo yet. Adobe and Fontlab should support tattoo artists! Ha!

It's amazing, I can not believe it yet... maybe I should think about using my fonts on my skin, too.
