A couple of years ago we were in need of a sign to welcome people into the Veer office. Sheldon Popiel, Issa Breibish, Grant Hutchinson and I had kicked around the idea of using found van art or hood art and the rest of the crew gave us the green light. Now all we needed was a hood, an illustrator and an airbrush artist. So we called in my friend Dean Bartsch to work on the illustration and see if he knew of any airbrush artists in town. Luckily he did, and Chris Thompson graced us with his airbrush mastery. Here's the end result.
“
I was wondering what the story behind that hood was when I was in the office... very cool.

Finally, a kickin’ tribute to the hood. Thanks for putting this together Bryce. It’s something that everybody at Veer (and our design community peeps) should enjoy.

I really enjoyed what this project has become to represent and has given me confidence in chasing ideas, regardless how far out there they may seem to be. Culture is always one of the hardest things to budget for and this is a prime example of how difficult it is to quantify culture or art projects. Thanks to all the hard work Dean put into this project and I'm thankful that we were able to have a finished piece in the end.
