Melbourne Writers Festival : promo movie

Great kinetic typography movie/animation advertising for the 2009 Melbourne Writers Festival.

From linking site: "...Working with JWT in Melbourne, we created a typographic journey through genres, animating to the words of the authors quite literally, as they were also the voice talent..."

Shy the Sun : videos

Shy the Sun [ shythesun.tv ]

Has done some very interesting layered video work using footage and computer animation. True, it's nothing new... but still crazy to watch.

The Tale of How is far better IMO, especially the tentacles... but hard to understand the song they wrote.

Snowdin

Snowdin

Colle+McVoy [ collemcvoy.com ]

Has created a nice little Flash site for the holidays... in 3-D to boot. Here's how they describe it:

To help relieve the stresses of the holiday season, we created a winter retreat at snowdin.com. There you can frolic with a yeti, pilot a blimp or deliver the evening post to the town folk. No need for long johns or an electric blanket. All you'll need is your 3-D glasses.

What gets me is the Qbert game. Holy 80's flashback Batman. They've got some other nice work and videos too... check em out

Corbis Holiday Monster(s)

Looks like Corbis is trying to jump on the Veer Wacky Wagon by being a little fun/silly. You won’t sway me though, Mrs. Corbis. Not for all the cookies in Denmark. I’m sticking w/Veer thank you very much.
