Those crazily addictive French delectables known as Macarons! Not to be confused with Macaroons - the chewy coconut confections from your (not so) recent childhood.
Let me give you the run down. Paris. Macaron virgin. Found myself peering through the window of the ridiculously beautiful Patisserie down the street and my life from that point onward was irrevocably changed. I consumed a considerable amount of these beauties...more than I care to elaborate on, and have been obsessed with finding the Canadian equivalent since...a very very difficult endeavor, to say the least.
